Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before we start working together.

How is C42 different from a traditional consulting firm?

Most consulting firms deliver a strategy and move on. C42 embeds into your program and manages delivery until the work is done. The people you meet at the start are the people running your program. No junior teams, no account layers.

We already have an internal IT team. Why would we need C42?

Most organizations we work with have internal teams. The problem is not capacity, it is program leadership. Running a business and managing an AI transformation at the same time is difficult. C42 takes the delivery function off your plate so your team can focus on the business.

How long does a typical engagement last?

It depends on the scope. An entry assessment takes days to weeks. A full program delivery engagement runs as long as the program demands, typically 12 to 24 months. We scale up or down as the work requires.

Do you work with specific technology vendors?

We are vendor-neutral by default and a certified Google Cloud Partner by preference. We design architecture and governance frameworks. Our implementation partners build. You are not locked into any vendor through us.

What happens when C42 exits?

We work toward making ourselves unnecessary from day one. Before we exit, your team is trained, the governance is in place, and the systems are documented. The capability stays with you.

We have already started an AI initiative. Can you come in mid-program?

Yes. Project Recovery is one of our entry services. We assess what is blocking progress, stabilize delivery, and take over coordination. You do not start over.

How do you price your services?

Entry assessments are fixed-fee, scoped to organization size and complexity. Ongoing engagements are retainer-based. We scope the first engagement based on the assessment findings. No open-ended commitments.

We are not sure if we are ready for AI. Is it too early to talk to C42?

No. That is exactly when it makes sense to talk. The Organizational Readiness Assessment is designed for organizations that have not started yet. You get an honest picture of where you stand before committing any budget.
